Well, the fun has begun. It’s stupid boy week at our house because Leia is here and she’s in standing heat. As many of you know, we’re breeding Leia to Rowan and hoping for October puppies. As a matter of fact, when we do the math, we realized puppies should be born right around the time Mark heads to Saskatchewan for his annual duck hunt. Woohoo – I’ll get to whelp puppies all by myself (that’s sarcasm in case it didn’t come through clearly). We have 4 intact boys in our house, so a girl in standing heat makes for many locked crates and closed doors and walking everybody in separate little packs. It adds a whole new dimension to looking after 8 dogs. But we’re very excited for puppies!
Woohoo! Puppy breath! Tell Mark we'll delay the birds out here on the prairies so he has time to whelp pups before he leaves! Hang in there Mary ~ stupid boy week will be over soon. Jill
